Sealions sunbathing

Sealions, seals' larger and louder cousins.

Bear in the river

In the fall, bears stay close to the rivers, feasting on spawning salmon. Don't get too close!

Campbell River area offers the most spectacular wildlife views.

Watch the orcas ( killerwhales ) travel through Discovery Passage, seals and sealions enjoying the sunshine, lots of eagles, black bears catching salmon, deer and elk to name only a few.

Harbout seals

Seals, or 'sea-dogs', doing some sunbathing. Fun to watch, but do not touch!

Eagles waiting for a feast!

Eagles wait for the tides to change and the fishing to heat up.

Black bear

Until the salmon get here, the bears must do with berries and grubs.
